In about three weeks, I will be flying to Ecuador. As I prepare for the following year, there is lots to think about. The flight is booked, vaccines injected, housing arranged. There is a physical therapist, Katie, who will be arriving in Quito, Ecuador, the same day. We have been emailing past volunteers to find out what advice they have regarding what to pack, wear, bring, and do while we are there!
I am getting very excited but very nervous as well. As I prepare for all the changes that will be taking place, I realize how grateful I am for what I have here. I am grateful for a good job with supportive friends/co-workers from whom I learn daily. I am grateful for friends that share memories, good times, and laughter with me constantly. I am grateful for a family that is understanding and helpful as I make preparations. I am excited to be able to share the upcoming experiences with you all.
